The Kawasaki Ninja H2 is one of the most advanced street bike in production currently. It’s the only motorcycle which comes with a supercharger.

The Kawasaki Ninja H2 looks absolutely futuristic and has loads of power

Kawasaki shocked everyone with the H2 twins earlier this year and now a rumour suggests that the bike will be priced at around Rs. 30 lakhs (on-road) in India. We all know Kawasaki will bring the mad H2 to India next year, via the CBU route but information about the price coming out so soon isn’t normal. Considering the Ninja H2 is priced at Rs. 21.3 lakhs in the UK, an ex-showroom price of Rs. 26 lakhs in India isn’t too shabby. Currently Kawasaki has just three dealerships through which it can retail the H2 but the company is looking at expanding presence across the country.

The Kawasaki Ninja H2 generates 200 PS of peak power at 11,000 RPM and 113.5 Nm of peak torque at 10,500 RPM, an additional 10 horses can be had courtesy of the Ram Air intake. So what is so special about the Ninja H2? It’s the only supercharged street bike in production, the 999cc in-line 4 mill boasting of a wider powerband for better acceleration over a naturally aspirated unit. The Ninja H2 isn’t light though and weighs a hefty 238 kgs, it does have a plethora of electronics on board including traction control, launch control, fully adjustable suspension, quick shifter and engine brake control.

Kawasaki also revealed the even madder H2R which boasts of 300 PS of power but is a track only bike, offered in very limited numbers. The Ninja H2R isn’t India bound but one can purchase the Ninja H2 and modify it to extract close to H2R levels of output. Kawasaki dealers will start accepting bookings for the Ninja H2R early next year while deliveries are likely to commence by the middle of the year. While the price does seem high, remember you get a vastly tech laden bike for what is otherwise BMW S1000RR money.
