The 2016 Kawasaki H2 gets a new colour option added to the list while the supercharged engine and the cosmetics get no changes for the new year.

The new shade on the 2016 Ninja H2 is called Mirror Coated Spark Black

The Kawasaki Ninja H2 arrived last year in global markets and the hyperbike managed to create quite a revolution, prompting other manufacturers to up their game. Having completed a year of existence, Kawasaki has now updated the H2 for the 2016 model year with a new colour option adding even more excitement to the superfast offering. In addition to the H2, Kawasaki has introduced updates across its entire model range.

At present, the Kawasaki Ninja H2 comes only in a single colour option called the Mirror Coated Black/Real Carbon and now the Japanese manufacturer has introduced the new colour option ‘Mirror Coated Spark Black’ on the bike. The stealth black shade adds to the menacing looks of the model and shimmers with the sparkly effect to the paint job. Apart from the new colour option, the automaker has made no other changes to the bike’s appearance or performance.

The Kawasaki Ninja H2 and H2R are certainly the new aspirational products that every biker is looking forward to ride at least once in his lifetime. Icons of the modern day superbike era, power on the H2 comes from a 998cc, in-line, four-cylinder, supercharged engine that belts out over 200 PS of power (210 PS with Ram air) and 133 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox. The H2 is capable of doing the 0-100 km/hr run in a mind boggling 2.5 seconds.

Satiating all that power are a host of electronics including Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS), Kawasaki Launch Control Mode, Engine Brake Control, Quick Shifter, Traction Control among other bits. If recent speculations are to be believed, Kawasaki will also give birth to more affordable version of the H2 called the R2, while a supercharged 650cc version called S2 could also make it to production.
