Kawasaki Ninja 400 price is Rs. 4.69 lakhs, available in KRT Green colour only.
The Kawasaki Ninja 400 has been silently launched in India at a sticker price of Rs. 4.69 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle bears design resemblances to the flagship Ninja H2 and is assembled at the company’s facility in Chakan, Pune.
Initially showcased at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show, the motorcycle borrows its design cues from its elder sibling, the Ninja H2. For instance, the dual LED headlight with the chin spoilers. With a sharp design, voluminous bodywork and a Ninja ZX-10R-inspired LED tail-light, overall the Ninja 400’s looks are impressive.
The motorcycle comes powered by an all-new 399cc parallel-twin, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled and fuel-injected engine that produces 49 PS of power at 10,000 RPM and 38 Nm of torque at 8000 RPM. The powerplant comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The vehicle comes shod with 41 mm telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are via a 310 mm petal disc (the same disc size used on the Ninja ZX-14R) and a 220 mm petal disc at the front and rear respectively. Dual-channel ABS is offered as standard.
Similar to the Ninja H2, the 400 too gets a swingarm mounting plate which fixes the swingarm to the rear of the engine thereby enhancing stability. The 399cc parallel-twin delivers higher performance all thanks to the new downdraft intake accompanied by a larger airbox which offers increased intake efficiency. The Ninja 400 is as beginner rider-friendly as the Ninja 300 courtesy the smooth response and the abundant low-end torque.
