The reduction of the Kawasaki Ninja 300 spare parts prices will now bring the cost of ownership down significantly.
Often criticised for being a little overpriced with its products, Kawasaki is taking an aggressive and competitive side. Following the Ninja 300 price cut, the prices of its spare parts have now been reduced by a huge margin. Anzen Kawasaki, a dealership in Mumbai shared a list of update prices, which shows the massive difference.
Starting from the brake and clutch lever, throttle cables and tyres to the fairing and discs, everything has seen the reduction. The biggest price difference has come for the fairing on both sides. Prior to the price reduction, the fairing costed Rs. 52,280/- for each side, but now would be charged at just Rs. 5270/-. The front disc brake has seen a similar sharp reduction from Rs. 28,460/- to just Rs. 2100/-.
Earlier, the smallest Ninja in India, the Ninja 300 came under the price reduction radar as it is no longer a CBU (Completely Built Unit), but is now assembled locally. With this, the effective price stands at Rs. 2.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) as opposed the Rs. 3.63 lakhs prior to the price cut.
The reduction in the price has made the Kawasaki Ninja 300 the most affordable sports motorcycle with a twin-cylinder engine in India, dethroning the Yamaha R3, which retails at around Rs. 3.5 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). However, it isn’t the most affordable twin-cylinder motorcycle in the country as the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 are now the most affordable ones to have a 2-cylinder engine.
