Kawasaki is celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Ninja brand in style! First up, the Japanese company launched the ZX-14R 30th Anniversary Edition which was then followed by the ZZR1400 Performance Sport. Now, Kawasaki has launched the Z1000 Special Edition in Europe. Just like other special editions, the Z1000 too comes in an exclusive paintjob. The bike is available in Golden Blazed Green/ Metallic Graphite Gray. The Z1000 which is a naked performance bike which looks really eye-grabbing and smashing, this paintjob makes it look just even better.
The Kawasaki Z1000 Special Edition comes with some changes that are not found on the regular Z1000. The intake has been slightly modified on the special edition and hence it makes a different sound while accelerating. This sound coming from the bike can be termed as pure aural pleasure for enthusiasts. A sports bike’s engine generates a lot of heat and that might affect cold air circulation and hence Kawasaki has incorporated a new Cool Air system that consists of ducts placed near the fairing openings which direct cool air to the airbox that is placed between the frame beams.
The Kawasaki Z1000 Special Edition gets a new Separate Function Fork – Big Piston suspension that improves the overall handling of the bike in terms of both performance and comfort. The sports bike also gets a high-performance braking package which includes three petal discs, radial-mounted monobloc calipers and radial-pump front brake master cylinder. The Z1000 is powered by a 1043cc 4-stroke inline-four engine that breathes out 142 PS of power and 111 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The Kawasaki Z1000 is available in non-ABS and ABS models and the bike is available in India at a price of Rs. 12.5 lakhs.
