Japanese bike manufacturer Kawasaki has launched the KLX 110 in India. The bike is aimed for kids who want to venture out in 2-wheeler motorsports.
After launching the Versys 650 ABS in India, Kawasaki has yet another product on their hands. The Japanese company has launched the KLX 110 adventure bike in India and it has been priced at Rs. 2.65 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The KLX 110 has the looks of a proper moto cross bike and it is a bit smaller in size compared to the conventional bikes that we see everywhere. The bike is offered in a shade of green and it looks eye-catching with its graphics and of course the off-road tyres.
The Kawasaki KLX 110 is powered by a 112cc air-cooled, four-stroke engine that comes with an automatic clutch to prevent stalling. The bike isn’t road legal and it can be used by kids only. It is brought down via the CBU route. The KLX 110 uses a high tensile steel frame. The front suspension consists of telescopic forks while there is a monoshock at the rear. The bikes gets drum brakes both at the front and rear.
The KLX 110 has a length of 1557 mm, height of 955 mm and width of 650 mm. The bike is compact in its dimensions while the seat is placed at a height of 680 mm. The ground clearance of the bike is stated to be 218 mm and the KLX weighs 76 kgs. The small bike gives out terrific mileage of up to 80 km/l while the fuel tank is small, having a total capacity of just 3.78 litres.
The awareness about motorsports has constantly been increasing in India and more and more youngsters are now interested in pursuing serious careers in this field. Such bikes that are made available for kids can help them begin practice and training from early years but the only issue being that the bike is still quite expensive and not every motorsport enthusiast will be able to afford it.
