The Kawasaki Z800 gets updated with the new green and black paint scheme that will now be available along with the all black option. The bike gets no design changes and continues with the same mechanicals.
Launched earlier this year, Kawasaki was offering the Z800 sports bike only in an all black paint shade in India, even though a number of options are available internationally. Nonetheless, the Japanese manufacturer has now introduced the new green and black dual-tone paint scheme for the Z800 that showcases the performance attributes in great detail. The new green shade now extends to the bikini fairing, fuel tank, engine belly, rear seat and side panels. There are no other changes to the design and the bike continues with the same styling.
The Kawasaki Z800 is powered by the same 806cc 16-valve, in-line 4-cylinder engine that produces 113 BHP of power and 83 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed transmission. Suspension duties are performed by 41 mm inverted forks at the front and a bottom-link Uni-Trak, gas-charged shock at the rear. Stopping power comes from the semi-floating 310 mm petal discs at the front and a 250 mm petal disc brake at the rear. The Z800 continues to be the country’s most affordable 4-cylinder motorcycle but that will change once Honda launches the CBF650F next fiscal.
Apart from the all-black and green-black paint schemes, Kawasaki also offers white and orange shades for the Z800 in the international market but the same are not being offered in India. This Kwacker competes with the Triumph Street Triple in the country. With both the models being CBUs, the Z800 is priced at Rs. 8.05 lakhs, while the Street Triple costs Rs. 7.5 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new colour scheme will definitely add to the popularity of the Z800 and the motorcycle is available through Kawasaki’s own dealerships, with only two operational till date.
