All of Kawasaki’s middle-weight bikes receive new colour options with pin-stripes on the fuel tank, contrasting colour elements and wheel stripes for model year 2016.
Kawasaki has announced new colour options for its middle-weight contenders including the ER-6f (Ninja 650 in India), ER-6n street-fighter, Vulcan S cruiser and the Versys 650 tourer for the 2016 model year. The updates are minimal and add some cosmetic flair to all three motorcycles with pin-stripes on the fuel tank, contrast coloured rear shock absorbers and wheel stripes.
Starting with the Kawasaki Ninja 650, the 2016 model gets two new colour options including Candy Lime Green and Candy Persimmon Red with the side fairing finished in Metallic Spark Black. The third option is Metallic Carbon Grey that continues as a mono colour offering. Its street-fighter sibling, the ER-6n too gets the colour options with coloured rear shock absorbers and pin-striped wheels as standard. The new colours are available for ABS and non-ABS models.
Coming to the Kawasaki Vulcan S, the Japanese automaker is offering three new colours including Beige Urban City White, Metallic Matt Carbon Grey and white. On the 2016 Versys 650, the adventure tourer already gets Metallic Matte Carbon Grey, Metallic Spark Black and the palette has been added with Candy Matte Orange and Pearl Stardust White combined with Metallic Spark Black.
In terms of power, all four Kawasaki middle-weight offerings use a 649cc 4-stroke DOHC 8-valve, parallel-twin engine under the belly that is tuned to produce 72.1 PS of power and 64 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. India gets the Ninja 650 and the ER-6n, while Kawasaki is yet to offer the Vulcan S and the Versys 650 in the country. That said, the middle-weight segment is getting increasingly popular and Kawasaki definitely should make the most of the same by bringing in the new models. Will it introduce the new multiple colour options in India? We hope.
