The Kawasaki dealer is based in Thane West, Mumbai.
It is not every day that we see a bike dealer take a dig at another bike manufacturer. Though most of the times the leg-pulling is subjective, this is one case where it kind of makes sense. The Kawasaki dealer, which goes by the name of MotoSaki Motorcycle, has compared the 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 with the newly launched BMW G 310 brothers, more specifically the BMW G 310 GS adventure motorcycle.
The comparison has been done between the prices that these bikes sell at. While the BMW G 310 GS has a price of Rs. 4.19 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai), the Kawasaki dealer asks you to instead get the Kawasaki Ninja 300 that comes at a price of Rs. 3.65 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai). The ad even highlights the fact that while the G 310 GS comes with a 313cc, single-cylinder engine, the Ninja 300 comes with a 296cc, twin-cylinder engine that produces more power.
However, it isn’t right to compare the two bikes with each other as they both cater to different markets. While the BMW G 310 GS is a more adventure focused motorcycle, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 is bought by people who want an entry-level faired sports bike and want to take it touring.
Feature-wise, ABS comes as standard on both the bikes but the Kawasaki Ninja 300 also gets an assist and slipper clutch. The BMW G 310 GS gets an all-digital instrument cluster while the Ninja 300 gets an analogue-digital instrument cluster.
When the BMW G 310 GS was launched, it was indeed considered to have been priced a bit too high. But recent data shows that the bookings for the bike have already crossed the 600 mark and the motorcycle is getting a positive response. The 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 is the cheapest twin-cylinder motorcycle in India. Which one should you buy, this one we will leave on you.
