July, 2022, hatchback sales witnessed a downfall on the whole with many top sellers witnessing degrowth. In fact, they had performed far better last year when the pandemic situation had just about eased.
In the A segment, Maruti Suzuki S-Presso became the top seller with 11,268-unit sales. It achieved the highest growth of 65 percent YoY. Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 and Renault Kwid took the remaining spots. Both witnessed double-digit de-growth.

At number 3, though Hyundai Grand i10 Nios has witnessed growth, it’s still marginal. Maruti Suzuki Celerio came fourth selling 6854 units. It was closely followed by Tata Tiago and Maruti Suzuki Ignis. Tiago has faced de-growth and overtook Ignis only by a few units.
