MG Motor India has been a key player in the market since 2019. Bringing cars such as the MG Hector, Gloster, ZS EV, etc. which brought in good sales for them and helped them establish the brand in India.

JSW MG has also been active in the EV market, constantly working upon new technologies to make India more EV friendly. At the JSW MG DriEV.Bharat held on the 6th August, the brand unveiled their new EV ecosystem.

Starting with, eHUB by MG, the Industry’s first and largest charging platform by an OEM; of Project REVIVE, focused on repurposing EV batteries beyond cars; of EVPEDIA, India’s first dedicated educational and knowledge platform for electric car users; the MG-Jio Innovative Connectivity Platform (MG-Jio ICP), which will be standard in all upcoming MG vehicles.

eHUB:

eHUB by MG is a comprehensive solution designed to simplify EV charging. This platform enables users to easily locate, reserve and pay for charging stations, offering access to an extensive network across the country. Through partnerships with leading providers like Adani Total Energies Limited (ATEL), BPCL, Chargezone, Glida, HPCL, Jio-BP, Shell, Statiq, Zeon, and more, eHUB ensures a seamless charging experience.

The app, available in 11 languages and featuring trip-planning tools, aims to provide a convenient and hassle-free EV charging process.

Project REVIVE:

Project REVIVE, a collaborative effort between TERI and Lohum, is focused on repurposing end-of-life electric vehicle (EV) batteries to create sustainable energy solutions. By extracting functional components from these used batteries, the initiative aims to extend their lifecycle, addressing concerns about battery waste and contributing to environmental sustainability.

The repurposed batteries are being utilised in schools and community centres, offering reliable power to underserved areas. Project REVIVE highlights a potential method for reducing electronic waste and promoting responsible resource use, aligning with broader efforts toward sustainability and energy accessibility.

EVPEDIA:

EVPEDIA is an innovative platform designed to offer an extensive range of information about electric vehicles. The platform goes beyond basic explanations of EV technology, providing users with practical tools like cost of ownership calculators, a comprehensive repository of government policies and a well-organised collection of publications and research papers. Through interactive features, educational videos, and live demonstrations, EVPEDIA helps users gain a deeper understanding of the benefits of electric vehicles. The platform also includes an AI-powered chatbot, ‘eVir,’ which delivers prompt and accurate responses to EV-related questions.

This approach ensures that both newcomers and experienced users can access valuable insights, making EVPEDIA a vital resource for anyone interested in the evolving world of electric vehicles.

MG-Jio Innovative Connectivity Platform (MG-Jio ICP):

JSW MG Motor India has partnered with Jio to introduce the MG-Jio In-Car Platform (ICP), a collaboration that aims to enhance the in-car experience. This platform introduces features like the MG Store, which allows access to gaming, entertainment and educational content directly from the vehicle.

Additionally, the MG-Jio ICP supports voice commands in six Indian languages and offers a Home-to-Car functionality, a first in the automotive industry. The MG-Jio ICP is designed to provide increased convenience and accessibility for users.

MG has revealed that all forthcoming models will come equipped with the MG-Jio Innovative Connectivity Platform (ICP) as a standard feature. This advanced technology stack includes several notable innovations, such as the MG App Store, which offers in-car gaming, entertainment, and learning options. Additionally, the platform enhances voice command capabilities by supporting six Indian languages and introduces Home-to-Car functionality, aiming to elevate the connected car experience.
