JLR India has made drastic changes in their portfolio.
JLR India lineup has been rejigged with Bharat Stage 6 transition in the country. The carmaker has discontinued a range of diesel variants and a few high performance petrol engines too.
The entire Jaguar lineup is now devoid of diesel engine options. Yes, you can only buy a petrol powered Jaguar now. Even the recently launched XE facelift that was introduced with diesel is now available only with petrol engine and 2 variants S and SE.
The Jaguar XF and F-Pace both are now available in single trim, single engine option – 2.0-litre petrol Prestige. Meanwhile, the flagship sedan XJL has been completely discontinued in India.
In the Land Rover lineup, only the recently launched Discovery Sport facelift and Range Rover Evoque are available with both 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options. Rest, all the SUVs are no longer available with diesel engine option.
The Discovery 5 is available in 4 variants, all come with 2.0-litre petrol. Range Rover Velar is available in single 2.0-litre petrol R-Dynamic S trim. Range Rover Sport is available in 3 trims with 2.0-litre petrol engine option only.
The flagship Range Rover is available in 7 trims and all come with a single 3.0-litre petrol engine option. Even the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine option has been discontinued.
Even the upcoming Land Rover Defender will be launched with a single 2.0-litre petrol engine options and 5 variants for both 90 and 110 variants.
