Jeep Wrangler facelift gets visual changes and updated features on offer
Jeep Wrangler facelift launched in India with prices starting from Rs. 67.65 lakhs for the Unlimited variant and going up to Rs. 71.65 lakhs for the Rubicon variant (all prices, ex-showroom). The Wrangler now commands a premium of around Rs. 5 lakhs over its previous iterations.
One of the most noticeable changes on the exterior of the Wrangler Unlimited is the introduction of a new blacked-out grille, replacing the previous body-colored grille, along with the addition of new 18-inch alloy wheels. The windshield now features Gorilla glass, enhancing durability. Moreover, Jeep has expanded the colour palette for the Unlimited variant, offering customers a choice between Sarge Green, Bright White, Black, Granite Crystal and Firecracker Red.
Similarly, the Wrangler Rubicon receives an all-black grille and new 17-inch alloy wheels, retaining its distinctive appearance. The colour options remain consistent with the Unlimited variant, providing buyers with a range of choices to suit their preferences.
Inside the cabin, both the Wrangler Unlimited and Rubicon feature a new 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen powered by Jeep’s latest Uconnect 5 operating system. Additionally, the vehicles now come equipped with 12-way powered front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and an enhanced safety package including 6 airbags, electronic stability control, hill start assist, hill descent control and more.
Under the hood, the Wrangler continues to be powered by the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 270 HP and 400 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Both variants come standard with Jeep’s Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system.
The Wrangler Rubicon boasts additional features such as a Rock mode for the Selec-Trac system, locking front and rear differentials and an electronically disconnectable front sway bar to tackle challenging terrain.
