The teased interior of the Jeep Meridian looks upmarket and should be packed with features
Jeep Brasil has teased the interior of the Commander, to be called Meridian in India, recently, revealing the car’s new upholstery and third row of seats.
The teaser video showcases some of the SUV’s highlights like the digital instrument cluster, multifunctional steering wheel and bronze effect trim on the centre console and dashboard.
Speaking of the dashboard, although it looks the same as the 2021 Compass’ dash, it features suede trim with double stitching, which increases the premium quotient, while the armrest has the 1941 Jeep inscription on it.
The leather seat upholstery is new and all of the seats feature diamond quilting, save for the middle seat of the second row.
Although the Jeep Meridian interior teaser video is brief, it does not fail to show the third row seats, which can be accessed by flipping the 60:40-split second row seats.
The 2 seats at the back look big enough for adults, but, it will be wise to reserve judgement on it until the real deal can be experienced first-hand.
However, what can be said for sure is that Jeep will offer a 6-seater variant of the Meridian as well. Other things the teaser video showcases include the second row air-con vent and large panoramic sunroof.
Scheduled for launch in the coming months, the 3-row SUV will come with revised exterior styling in comparison to the Compass, and will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine paired with a 9-speed auto that will transfer the motor’s power to the driving wheels.
