Jeep Compass facelift has been spied while undergoing test runs in India. We know that it is going to hit showrooms possibly next year and FCA is extensively testing the SUV on our roads.
The heavily camouflaged test mule, spotted in Bengaluru, does not reveal any details and from what we can see, even the alloy wheel design looks the same, although it is in black.
We can expect the Jeep Compass facelift to get revised headlights and tail lamps, redesigned bumpers and fog lamp housing and possibly new alloy wheels.
Although the Jeep Compass facelift spied car’s interior cannot be seen, we have reported on that subject earlier. Thus, we know that the Compass facelift will get a bigger touchscreen (possibly a 10.1-inch) with FCA’s UConnect5 infotainment system.
Latest iteration of the UConnect5 system can receive Over-The-Air (OTA) updates and include, Amazon Alexa support, wireless AppleCarPlay and Android Auto. Also, engine and transmission options on the facelifted car are likely to remain the same.
Another thing that we know is that FCA is developing a 7-seater version of the Compass. That car might get a different rear-end and is likely to be sold in the Indian market.
Jeep recently launched a Night Eagle limited edition model of the Compass, which will eventually become the new Longitude Plus trim-level. It is a stop-gap measure from the American carmaker until they introduce the facelift.
