Jeep Compass Anniversary Edition gets cosmetic changes on the exterior & interior
Jeep has introduced a special Anniversary Edition of the Compass to celebrate the SUV’s eight-year journey in the Indian market. This limited-edition variant offers a fresh set of visual enhancements and exclusive accessories, distinguishing it from the standard model. While the pricing details for this special edition are yet to be announced, Jeep has opened bookings online and at authorised dealerships across the country.
Key Features and Add-Ons
The Jeep Compass Anniversary Edition features a dual-tone decal on the bonnet, adding a unique aesthetic touch. A Velvet Red embellishment has been applied to the sixth grille slot, creating a subtle yet distinctive look. Inside, the special edition offers Velvet Red seat covers that enhance the cabin’s premium feel. In terms of accessories, the Compass Anniversary Edition includes white ambient lighting for a more refined interior ambiance and an integrated dashcam for added convenience and safety.
However, Jeep has not confirmed whether the Anniversary Edition will be available across all trims or limited to specific variants.
Powertrain and Performance
Under the hood, the Jeep Compass remains powered by the familiar 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine, which generates 170 HP and 350 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic. While it’s still unclear whether the Anniversary Edition will be offered with both transmission choices, the standard Compass is available in front-wheel drive, with the top-end Model S (O) variant also offering an optional 4WD setup.
Competitive Position
The Jeep Compass is priced between Rs. 18.99 lakhs and Rs. 32.41 lakhs (ex-showroom). This places it in a competitive segment, where it faces off against rivals such as the Volkswagen Tiguan and Hyundai Tucson, while also contending with Indian offerings like the Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV700.
