The boffins at Classic Legends have not been idle during the lockdown as the newly released Jawa Perak specs show a gain in torque figure.
The 334cc liquid-cooled, single cylinder, DOHC engine now produces 30.64 PS of power and 32.74 Nm of torque. When introduced, Jawa said the engine produces 31 Nm.
This near 2 Nm increase has been achieved by fine tuning the engine, resulting in better pulling performance and rolling acceleration, the manufacturer claims.
The BS6 compliant engine is coupled with a 6-speed transmission as before and there have been no other changes made to the motorcycle.
Other Jawa Perak specs include dual-channel ABS, a redesigned swingarm, floating seat with integrated tail lamp, bobbed fenders, fatter tyres and a stealth paint scheme, to give it the bobber look and driving experience.
While the new Jawa Perak specs are sure to attract customers, the bobber-style bike is also available with easy finance options to make it more accessible.
The Jawa Perak was launched on 15th November, while bookings began on 1st January 2020. It is priced at Rs. 1,94,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Deliveries of the bike will begin from 20th July across the country.
It must be noted that the bike was supposed to be delivered to customers by April 2020, but with the COVID-19 spread, that was not possible.
However, the increase in twisting force has not come with a price hike, that would have dampened customer sentiments.
Classic Legends assure that they have put in place a comprehensive standard operating procedure across its sales outlets and dealerships, adhering to the policies and measures directed by the central and state governments to keep their customers and employees safe.
