Jaguar Type 00 concept car revealed, production model to debut in late 2025
Jaguar has unveiled its Type 00 concept, marking the brand’s bold new direction under its revamped identity and ideology. The concept car was revealed during the Miami Art Week in South Florida, serving as a design vision for the future of Jaguar’s lineup. This vision will take tangible form in the production-spec four-door GT, expected to hit global markets by late 2025.
Design
The Jaguar Type 00’s design has already become a focal point of discussion. The concept showcases a signature long bonnet, a fastback silhouette with a sloping roofline and flush body panels that create a seamless exterior. Noteworthy features include 23-inch patterned alloy wheels, a glassless rear tailgate, an uninterrupted silhouette and a sculpted panoramic roof.
Adding to its striking appearance, Jaguar revealed the Type 00 in two distinctive paint schemes—Miami Pink and London Blue—further emphasising its bold design language.
Interior
Inside, the Type 00 adopts an understated and minimalist approach. The cabin is accentuated by hand-finished brass lines running across its breadth. Innovative elements include butterfly doors, a floating center console referred to as the ‘Spine,’ and deployable dual screens on the dashboard.
Other interior highlights are stitch-less wool blend seat upholstery, clever storage solutions, and hidden ambient lighting, ensuring a sophisticated yet practical space. The design ethos prioritises simplicity while retaining a luxurious touch.
Performance and Charging
Jaguar has provided preliminary details about the Type 00’s expected performance. The production-spec version is estimated to offer a driving range of up to 770 km, based on the WLTP cycle. Furthermore, rapid charging technology will allow the EV to gain up to 321 km of range in just 15 minutes, enhancing its practicality for long journeys.
The Jaguar Type 00 represents the brand’s ambitions to redefine itself in a rapidly evolving automotive landscape. With its blend of cutting-edge design, minimalist luxury, and impressive performance metrics, the Type 00 sets a new benchmark for the marque. As the automotive world shifts toward electrification, the upcoming production-spec four-door GT will play a pivotal role in shaping Jaguar’s future.
