You read it first on MotorBeam. Jaguar will launch the F-Type in India on the 8th of July, 2013, a JLR dealer with knowledge about the launch informs us. The F-Type will be offered in two variants – V6S and V8S, there will be no V6 variant on offer. The expected ex-showroom price for the F-Type V6S is Rs. 1.30 crore, while the F-Type V8S will be priced around Rs. 1.50 crore. Not many units of the Jaguar F-Type have been allocated for India and Tata Motors is hoping the vehicle will help in strengthening the JLR brand in the luxury segment.
The Jaguar F-Type is a 2-seater sports car which is the successor to the iconic E-Type. While the E-Type was launched in the 1960s, the F-Type comes more than 40 years later. The delay in the arrival of the F-Type happened because of multiple reasons, with Jaguar going through change of ownership multiple times. With Tata Motors committed to the British brand, we can expect more such eye catching and technology rich vehicles in the future. The F-Type is not only fast but also looks gorgeous and has taken the market by storm with Jaguar almost having sold out all units for this year.
