Indian Motorcycle has started accepting bookings for the 2022 Chief lineup in India. The booking amount for the range that will be priced from Rs. 20,75,922/- (ex-showroom) onwards, has been set at Rs. 3 lakhs (for each bike).
Consisting of 3 models, namely the Chief Dark Horse, Chief Bobber Dark Horse and the Super Chief Limited, the 2022 Indian Chief lineup, says the firm, pays tribute to the Indian Chief on completing 100 years in the global market.
Although the 3 models are different from one another, they do have a lot in common. For example, all have full LED lighting, keyless ignition, a USB charging port, a 12 V charge port and a 4-inch touchscreen instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
Moreover, the motorcycles also come with 3 ride modes (Standard, Sport and Tour), rear cylinder deactivation, ABS and even share the same fuel holding capacity of 15.1 litres, ground clearance of 125 mm, suspension, brakes and tyre width.
What’s more, each motorcycle in the 2022 Indian Chief lineup comes powered by an air-cooled 1890cc V-twin engine that makes 162 Nm of peak torque at 3200 RPM. It comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
2022 Indian Super Chief Limited –
Offered with 3 colour options – Blue State Metallic, Black Metallic, Maroon Metallic – the 2022 Indian Super Chief Limited sports fork covers, chrome finishes, a windshield, 16-inch wire-spoked wheels, footboards, touring seats and saddlebags. Weighing in at 335 kg (wet), this is the most heaviest model of the 2022 Indian Chief lineup.
2022 Indian Chief Dark Horse –
This model comes with a solo saddle that is set low at 662 mm, mid-mounted foot pegs, bobbed fenders, exposed rear shocks and gloss black finishes.
To be offered with 3 colour options (Alumina Jade Smoke, Black Smoke, Stealth Gray) the 2022 Indian Chief Dark Horse sports alloy wheels (19-inch front and 16-inch rear rims). It weighs 304 kg (wet).
2022 Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse –
Sporting a blacked-out bobber design with bobbed fenders, the 2022 Chief Bobber Dark Horse features stealthy gloss-black finishes, a low solo seat (662 mm), forward-set foot pegs, mini ape bars, 16-inch wire-spoked wheels and weighs 315 kg (wet).
With the 2022 Indian Chief bookings commenced, the 2-wheelers will get launched in India by the second quarter of this year.
