The 2015 Ford Everest will be offered with three engine options including a turbocharged EcoBoost motor and weighs a hefty 2357 kgs.
Ford had unveiled the production spec 2015 Everest (Endeavour in India) in November last year but did not disclose the dimensions or the engine power outputs on the SUV. Nonetheless, the spec sheet for the new SUV has been leaked online revealing all the details that you need to know. Starting with the dimensions, the 2015 Endeavour now measures 4882 mm in length, 1862 mm in width and 1836 mm in height while the wheelbase measures at 2850 mm. The SUV weighs a hefty 2357 kgs in its lightest form.
The 2015 Ford Endeavour is being offered with three engine options including one petrol and two diesel. As per the leaked spec sheet, the power outputs on each of the engine is as follows –
* 2.2-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel – 147 BHP of power and 385 Nm of torque
* 3.2-litre 5-cylinder Duratorq diesel – 197 BHP of power and 470 Nm of torque
* 2.0-litre Twin-Scroll EcoBoost petrol – 234 BHP of power and 360 Nm of torque
The engines will come paired to 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options on offer that will be sending power to the rear wheels or all four wheels, depending on the market. The 2015 Endeavour also comes with several off-roading features including all-new Terrain Management System, active transfer case, Torque On Demand and a ground clearance of 225 mm.
In India though, Ford will be offering the 2015 Endeavour with only diesel options under the hood paired to both manual and automatic transmission options. The American auto giant plans to launch the SUV in the second half of this year and will be brought in via the CKD route. One of the most potent SUVs in the segment, expect Ford to revise the prices with a marginal hike as it competes against the Toyota Fortuner, SsangYong Rexton, Renault Koleos and the likes.
