Indian Motorcycles has showcased the Roadmaster in Blue Diamond along with the Chief Classic in Pearl White at the 2016 Auto Expo and both of them will now be available at all the Indian dealerships in the country.
Indian Motorcycles has finally decided to enter the Indian market with its full lineup which will include all the international launches, save for the Scout Sixty. The automaker created a buzz at the 2016 Auto Expo as its stall proudly showcased the Roadmaster and Chief Classic in Blue Diamond and Pearl White colours respectively.
Both the Blue Diamond Roadmaster and Pearl White Chief Classic are now available at all the Indian dealerships across the country. The American manufacturer is expecting to achieve 15 percent market share and 12 showrooms by the end of this year.
Indian Roadmaster
The Indian Roadmaster is the top-of-the-line product for our market from the American bike maker and is priced at Rs. 36,78,278/- (ex-showroom Delhi). It is powered by a 1811cc, V-Twin engine that produces a staggering 139 Nm of torque at 2500 RPM when mated on a 6-speed gearbox. The same engine is used in all the other motorcycles from the lineup except the Scout and Scout Sixth that use a smaller 1130cc powerplant.
Indian Chief Classic
The new Pearl White colour completely suits the Indian Chief Classic’s luxury cruiser character. The chrome finishes around the motorcycle appears to be in accordance with the new paint shade. The feature-rich cruiser is available at dealerships at a price of 24,13,333/- (ex-showroom Delhi)
Along with the Indian Roadmaster and Chief Classic, the Polaris owned manufacturer showcased its entire lineup which includes the Scout, Chieftain, Chief Vintage and Chief Dark Horse at the 2016 Auto Expo. The newly unveiled Scout Sixty was also expected to be showcased, however the manufacturer does not seem to consider the Auto Expo an appropriate time for the Indian debut.
