Mercedes-AMG has launched the GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe with a price tag of Rs. 76.70 lakhs (ex-showroom, India).
The SUV is the carmaker’s first made-in-India AMG and is assembled at the firm’s production facility in Pune. With the launch of the model, Mercedes now assembles the entire GLC range locally.
All AMGs are measured by the power they make and the GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe makes a decent chunk of it by using a 3.0-litre biturbo V6 that puts out 390 HP and 520 Nm.
Connected with the motor is the AMG Speedshift 9G-Tronic transmission that in-turn transfers power to all four wheels, thus, enabling the car to do 0-100 km/hr sprint in 4.9 seconds and to top out at 250 km/hr.
There are five drive programs, namely – Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual and they are now linked to the AMG Dynamics agility control system.
AMG says the AMG Ride Control+ adaptive suspension is based on the Air Body Control air suspension with AMG-specific Adaptive Damping System (ADS Plus). The SUV rides on 20-inch alloy wheels.
It is not all go and no show either. The Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe price gets customers features such as Mercedes me connect, MBUX, Burmester Surround Sound System, 12.3-inch instrument cluster, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, among several others.
On the outside, the car comes with AMG-specific grille, LED headlights, sunroof, lip spoiler, AMG Performance Exhaust, a large diffuser and an AMG Night package.
For safety, there are seven airbags, Active Braking Assist, Active Bonnet, Mercedes me connect with 24X7 emergency services and Pre-Safe.
