After the i20 N Line, launch of other Hyundai N Line models will take place over the next few years in India
The launch of the Hyundai i20 N Line will take place this year in India. The Korean automaker has confirmed that it will be bringing its sportier models to the country starting 2021.
MD and CEO of Hyundai Motor India, S S Kim says the introduction of the N Line range to India will “induce sporty experiences like never before.” He added that the firm will launch more N Line models in the country over the next few years.
The South Korean carmaker says its N Line cars will have motorsport inspired styling cues, will be accessible for all and offer everyday excitement.
While it has been all but confirmed that the Hyundai i20 N Line India launch will take place this year, the news does not come as a surprise since the vehicle has been spotted in the country a few times thus far.
The design of the development mules pretty much resembled the i20 N Line sold overseas. They came with sporty bumpers, muscular bonnet, 17-inch wheels and twin muffler chrome exhaust tips.
While the interior of the India-spec i20 N Line has not been spotted yet, one can expect N Line steering wheel, seats, pedals, gauges and interior trim that provide a more sporty appeal.
The hatchback is expected to be powered by a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine which will be mated to a 7-speed DCT. When the Hyundai i20 N Line India launch takes place, the carmaker might drop the turbo petrol variants of the regular i20’s lineup.
