Ducati has revealed the 2021 SuperSport 950 with Panigale-inspired looks and new electronic riding aids.
The aim of the Italian firm, in the looks department, has been to bring the Super Sport 950 in-line with its larger siblings, much like what it did with the V2 last year.
Revealed through the latest of Ducati’s web presentations through which the marque will unveil its full 2021 lineup, the bike now has the familiar sunken headlights and the LED “brow” upfront.
New side fairings offer a clean, typical Ducati look and then, there is the new single-sided dual exhaust outlet and a short tail at the back.
The bike has received a new 4.3-inch full-TFT instrument cluster and also comes in an S version. Colour options are two and they are Ducati Red and Arctic White Silk (S variant only).
Upgrades have been made to the electronics package so that the bike holds its name high at the track. There are three riding modes – Sport, Touring and Urban – now, while an electronic bi-directional quickshifter is also present.
Furthermore, a Bosch 6-axis IMU has been added to the 2021 Ducati SuperSport 950, while there is also ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Ducati Wheelie Control EVO as standard.
Powering the 210 kg bike is a Euro 5-compliant 937cc Testatstretta L-twin that puts out 110 HP at 9000 RPM and 93 Nm at 6500 RPM.
As for the suspension, the S version is fitted with Ohlins suspension as standard to make it more dynamic, while the standard version has Marzocchi front forks and Sachs rear shock.
India launch of the motorcycle is expected to take place by next year and expect it not to be cheap.
