Hyundai has been extensively testing the ix25 compact SUV in various regions of India since the past few months. It will start the promotional activities of the same from next month.
Hyundai India has been on a roll in the country with most of its models enjoying great amount of success and acceptance in the market. Selling almost 12,500 units of a premium hatchback like the Elite i20 in a month is no small feat and the brand has been able to do so thanks to the overall package. To take things further, Hyundai will soon be launching the ix25 compact SUV in India which shall increase the market share of the Korean giant in the nation. However, since it won’t be a sub-4 metre vehicle, it will fall in the higher excise duty slab which shall make pricing it a challenge for the brand.
The Hyundai ix25 is being tested in various cities of India to ascertain its performance levels in different geographical conditions and on varying road surface. Hyundai will also start promotional activities for the SUV from next month which shall build enough excitement and hoopla before the launch which is expected within the next couple of months. The vehicle is bound to give nightmares to the other cars in the segment because Hyundai loads its cars with all the possible gizmos.
Since the Hyundai ix25 borrows engines from the Verna, we expect performance to be top notch due to high power figures. Also, it will be priced at a handsome premium over the Verna with which it shares some other parts too besides the engines. This would mean some variants would be priced above the car’s chief competitors which shall be the Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano. However, given that the vehicle would feature more equipment, more power and premium looking interiors, we believe that customers wouldn’t mind paying a premium for the same. The appealing design only adds to its plus points.
