Hyundai is all geared up to set the guns blazing with its new luxury brand Genesis. The first vehicle from the luxury stable is going to be the G90 or the EQ900 in Korea and it is based on the same Equus sedan that was undergoing testing in Korea. On the design front, the sedan looks absolutely beautiful and has a very premium appeal to it. The LED headlamps are eye-catchy while the bumpers and other body panels also have striking designs.

The G90 reveals its long wheelbase of 3160 mm when viewed from the side profile while its total length is 5205 mm. There will be another long wheelbase version available with a length of 5495 mm and wheelbase of 3450 mm. The G90 is going to sit at the top of the Genesis range of luxury vehicles and the car will carry forward this premium theme towards the interiors too. The long wheelbase ensures that there will be oodles of space inside and knowing Hyundai, we can safely say that the G90 will be loaded to the gills.

The insides of the Genesis G90 come with ERGO seats and it will get a lot of gizmos like Highway Driving Assist, Driver Attention Alert, Active Sound Design and Hyundai Variable Control Suspension. Under the bonnet, the vehicle will boast of a 3.8-litre Lambda V6 GDi engine that belts out 334 HP of power and 395 Nm of torque. A 3.3-litre turbo V6 engine will also be offered and this unit produces 370 HP of power and 510 Nm of torque. For all the power enthusiasts out there, Hyundai has a 5.0-litre Tau V8 GDi engine in store which pumps out a massive 425 horses and 520 Nm.

The G90 will be the flagship model from the Genesis brand but Hyundai will introduce six more vehicles by 2020. The Korean automaker wants to cash in on the demand of luxury vehicles and wants to give some tough fight to the ruling Germans; Mercedes, Audi and BMW. Apart from the G70 and G80 sedans, Hyundai will also launch SUVs and 2-door sports coupes. The G90 will be launched in December in Korea.
