Teaser images of the Hyundai AX1 micro SUV have been officially released by the Korean car manufacturer.
Since November last year, spy shots of the car undergoing development on public roads and in the snow, among other places, have been surfacing online time and again.
Thanks to the pictures, several design attributes of the upcoming micro SUV were already well known and the now released Hyundai AX1 teaser images confirm the same.
The car which will sit below the Venue sub-4 metre SUV when it gets launched in India sometime next year sports circular main headlight units that flank the air intake.
It also comes with a DRL ring, while above the head lamp cluster sits another lighting element, which might be additional DRLs or ones for turn signals. By turning the brightness to the max, one can also see the pattern of the radiator grille which consists of triangular slots.
The other Hyundai AX1 teaser image showcases the tail lamp cluster of the micro SUV which is unique with triangular elements sitting flush with sharp bodywork.
It is well known that the AX1 will come with roof rails, a raised ride height, and crossover styling elements such as skid plates integrated into both the front and rear bumpers.
Likely to be unveiled globally later this year, the AX1 will come with plentiful features and could possibly become the model with the most features on offer in its class.
Hyundai is expected to offer a choice of 2 petrol engines with the production version of the AX1 – a 1.1-litre motor and a 1.2-litre unit – along with 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options.
