Hyundai i20 facelift to launch ahead of the festive season
Hyundai i20 facelift teased for the first time officially. We have spotted the test mules quite a while back for both the standard and the N Line models of the i20 facelift.
The updated hatchback will get visual tweaks and new features on offer. In the teaser image we can spot a lot of changes compared to the current i20 on sale.
First up is the new headlight cluster which seems to be an all-LED unit devoid of projector lamps. It also gets a redesigned strip of LED DRLs to make it look fresh. Additionally, the grille pattern has changed and the logo has been repositioned to the bonnet.
The front bumper also looks slightly redesigned and according to the new trend of Hyundai facelifts and new models, the fog lamps have been deleted in the i20 facelift.
The side and rear profile are yet to be revealed. We spotted no changes on the side profile of the prototypes, we can only expect new alloy wheels on offer. The rear was camouflaged so we can expect some changes in the tail lights and the bumper design.
We hope to see some changes inside too like new upholstery, new colour scheme and new list of features like dashcam with dual camera, front ventilated seats, 360 degree camera, etc.
Engine options will remain the same. It will continue to be offered with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine options. There will be no diesel engine on offer since it has been discontinued a while back.
Hyundai will introduce the new i20 facelift in the next few weeks and just before the festive season which might give the premium hatchback a big boost in sales.
