2023 Hyundai i20 facelift revealed for the international market
Hyundai has revealed the 2023 model year of i20 for the international market. The facelifted hatchback comes with minor styling changes and new features on offer.
In terms of design you won’t notice major changes. The front profile gets a tweaked grille design which is finished in gloss black. The most noticeable change up front is the new bumper which looks sportier.
The side profile looks the same but there are new alloy wheels on offer. Hyundai is offering newly designed 16- and 17-inch alloys. The rear profile also gets a new bumper while the tail light gets a minor tweak in terms of styling.
The new i20 will be available in eight exterior colours and an optional black two-tone roof. Out of these eight colour options there are three new colours – Lucid Lime Metallic, Lumen Grey Pearl and Meta Blue Pearl.
The interior looks the same but comes with minor changes. As you can see in the interior shot, the new i20 gets exterior colour matching interior accents including door handle accents, AC vent controls in lime, seats stitching, etc.
The biggest change here is the Alcazar borrowed 10.25-inch digital cluster. It comes with 10.25-inch display screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charger and the latest update to Bluelink telematics.
The updated i20 gets ADAS including Lane Following Assist (LFA), Rear Cross-traffic Collision Assist (RCCA), Blind-spot Collision-avoidance Assist (BCA), Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) for ‘City’, ‘Interurban’, ‘Pedestrian’ and ‘Cyclist’.
In the international market it is being offered with 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine with 48V mild hybrid tech. This engine is available with 100 PS and 120 PS options.
We believe India will also get the i20 facelift by the end of this year. We hope it comes with more cosmetic tweaks to look fresh and gets new features including ADAS and the high res digital cluster.
