Hyundai i20 facelift launched, price list revealed

Hyundai i20 facelift launched with a starting price of Rs. 6.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). Complete price list of all the variants is given below.

The updated hatchback gets mild visual tweaks on the exterior and interior. It also comes with new features on offer and there are some changes in the engine options.

The front profile gets new LED headlights, new grille design and revised bumper design. The Hyundai logo has been repositioned to the bonnet and has been removed from the grille. Fog lamps have been deleted.

On the side profile you will notice new 16-inch alloy wheels and black cladding on the lower-half of the body. The rear profile gets new bumper with faux skid plate and cladding. This rugged treatment on a hatchback looks a bit out of place and reminds us of the i20 Active.

The i20 facelift comes with these colour options – Amazon Grey (New), Atlas White, Titan Gray, Typhoon Silver, Starry Night, Fiery Red, Atlas White + Black Roof, and Fiery Red + Black Roof.

The interior is more or less the same, it comes with new grey and black theme. The new lighter colour tones might add a sense of more space unlike the all-black interior of the pre-facelift car. There is a new flat-bottom steering wheel on offer.

Some of the new features include ambient lighting, puddle lamps with welcome function and Hyundai’s ‘Sounds of Nature’ feature, type-C charger, 7-speaker Bose audio system, etc.

It continues with the same 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It gets 60+ connected car features, 127 Embedded VR commands, 52 Hinglish voice commands, Over-the-Air updates, Multilanguage UI support accommodating 10 Regional and 2 International languages.

In terms of safety it comes equipped with these standard features – 6 Airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Antilock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake Distribution (BD).

Other safety tech includes Burglar alarm, Emergency stop signal, rear parking camera, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), headlamp escort function and Automatic headlamps.

The Hyundai i20 facelift is now available only with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated Kappa petrol engine producing 83 HP with the manual transmission and 88 HP with the CVT automatic. Both the powertrains produce 115 Nm of torque.

Hyundai is no longer offering the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine with the i20. We believe it has been reserved for the performance-oriented i20 N Line which will be launched soon in its facelifted avatar.
