Hyundai has unveiled a sportier version of their European-spec i10 named the i10 N Line at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Hyundai has unveiled the sporty i10 N Line at the Frankfurt Motor Show closely after the reveal of the latest-generation i10. The i10 N Line follows the footsteps of its larger siblings with some sporty interior and exterior upgrades and an exclusive powertrain.
The Hyundai i10 N Line is offered with 2 engine options, i.e., a turbocharged 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine churning out 99 PS and 172 Nm of torque to woo yourself (Venue’s engine in a detuned state of form), or a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine with 83 PS and 118 Nm of torque for the ones who prefer a ‘toned-down’ approach. A 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic transmission are on offer.
The cosmetic upgrades are very minimalistic but are significant enough to differentiate between the base Hyundai i10 models and the i10 N Line. The body kit has been enhanced a bit where circular DRLs have been replaced with 3 angular stripes of DRLs. The front splitter is painted red for that extra oomph. It features an exclusive set of 16-inch alloy wheels to supplement the overall briskness of the car. The rear now gets a skid plate and a diffuser as well.
On the inside, we see an all-black interior with red inserts on the vents and red stitchings on the wheel. It has aluminium pedals and a sporty gear-shift lever with upgraded seats while the rest remains unchanged.
We expect the Hyundai N line to be offered on sale in Europe by the end of next year, closely followed by an Indian arrival as well. The vehicle might be showcased at the upcoming 2020 Auto Expo in India. It will rival the likes of the Ford Freestyle, Maruti Baleno RS and Volkswagen Polo GT.
