Hyundai is gearing up to launch the second generation of its popular hatchback and it’s now called the Grand i10 NIOS.
It is a known fact that Hyundai has been readying the second generation Grand i10 for launch and now the automaker has officially announced that the vehicle will be called Grand i10 NIOS. Also, the Grand i10 NIOS will co-exist with the existing Grand i10 in the Indian market.
As seen in the images, the vehicle gets new styling on the outside as well as inside. There’s a new cascading grille with DRLs on either side and you also get projector headlamps. The hatchback gets new alloys too but the side profile does bear some resemblance to the existing car.
The dashboard gets a very nice design in a dual-tone layout. The touchscreen infotainment system is set high on the centre console. The hatchback also gets a new steering wheel, redesigned instrument cluster and new AC vents. It is also expected to have more storage spaces than the current car.
The vehicle will come with a BS6 version of the 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine and Hyundai is likely to offer the 1.2-litre U2 CRDI engine as well. Both the engines are expected to come with an AMT too.
