Hyundai Motor America launched its all new 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe at the 2012 Detroit North American International Auto Show. There has been design and style changes and this gives it an aggressive coupe look. The interiors have been improved. The body shell is made up of ultra-high-tensile steel. Power come in through a 3.8-litre Lambda DOHC V6 engine which produces 348 BHP of peak power at 6400 RPM and 400 Nm of torque at 5300 RPM. The Genesis Coupe reaches 100 km/h in less than 5.5 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 240 km/h. Hyundai positions the 3.8-litre engine equipped Genesis Coupe against the Infiniti G37 and BMW 335i.

Hyundai offers another engine on the Genesis Coupe, which is a 2.0-litre DOHC, turbocharged motor producing 274 BHP of power and 352 Nm of torque. This version of the Genesis Coupe competes with the Honda Civic Si. Hyundai had showcased the Genesis Coupe at the 2010 Auto Expo but the company has no plans to launch the Genesis in India anytime soon.
