Hyundai Exter Rear Profile Revealed

It gets H shaped LEDs on both front and rear profile

Hyundai Exter rear design revealed officially

Hyundai has revealed the rear design of the Exter. The entry level compact SUV is all set for its launch on 10th July. It will be positioned below the Hyundai Venue.

Now in terms of design, the rear profile continues with the overall rugged design theme of the car. Hyundai has offered some styling bits to make this small crossover get that SUV attitude.

The tail lights have H-shaped LED treatment. The reverse light and turn indicators are not LEDs, they get standard bulbs. There is a black textured panel running across the width of the car to give it a wider visual appeal.

The registration plate housing sits under the black panel and is quite prominent. The rear windscreen is quite big in size and comes with rear wiper and washer along with defogger for the range topping trim.

Notice the sizeable roof mounted spoiler with integrated brake light. The Exter also gets shark fin antenna and tall roof rails to lend it a good height. The lower half of the rear profile gets a brawny bumper with black cladding as well as huge silver finished faux skid plate. Notice the high ground clearance offered here to avoid bottoming out on big bumps and potholes.

We posted these pictures on our social media pages and there are mixed reviews of the rear design. Some say the tail lights look inspired by the Audi Q2 while some believe it is a bigger version of the Grand i10 Nios.

The interior of the car is yet to be revealed but Hyundai has announced some segment first features including an electric sunroof with voice commands operation and a dual camera dashcam.

Some of the other features include Headlamp Escort function, Auto Headlamps, ISOFIX, Rear Defogger, Rear Parking Camera and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.

Safety features include ESC (Electronic Stability Control), VSM (Vehicle Stability Management), HAC (Hill Assist Control), 3-Point Seat Belt & seatbelt reminder (all seats), Keyless Entry, ABS with EBD, Rear Parking Sensors, ESS, Burglar Alarm, etc.

At the time of the launch Hyundai is expected to offer the Exter with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with manual and AMT gearbox options.
