The very much anticipated small car from Hyundai’s stable, the Eon has been caught uncamouflaged. The car is due to launch on 13th of October. Bookings for the car have already started at the dealerships for an amount of Rs. 25,000. Test drives will be available from 14th onwards. Hyundai, anticipating the future demand in advance has already dispatched over 7000 units to various dealerships so that customers don’t face any delay in deliveries. From the spy shots, its quite evident that the styling has been done brilliantly and should find favour among the entry level small car buyers.
The company is planning to pitch in the Eon bang in the segment of Alto at an expected price range of Rs. 2.5 to 2.7 lakh for the base variant. The Eon is powered by an 814cc motor which produced 55 bhp of power and 76.5 Nm of torque. Its mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox with an ARAI certified mileage of 21.1 kmpl. This makes it more fuel economic than the largest selling car in India, the Maruti Suzuki Alto.
