Gearing up for the launch of its new compact SUV, Hyundai has made the official website of the Creta go live. The launch is scheduled for the 21st of July.
Hyundai has succeeded in creating a lot of buzz for the upcoming SUV Creta. The ix25-based vehicle is the first compact SUV from the Korean automaker’s stable. The Creta will be launched in India on 21st July while its production will begin on 20th June. The SUV will be competing directly with the Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano along with Maruti’s upcoming offering, the S-Cross, which too will be launched in July. By positioning the vehicle at a good price point and also equipping it with a long feature list, Hyundai is betting big on capturing the market here.
The official website of the Hyundai Creta has now gone live and can be accessed HERE. The website does not list down features or engine details of the SUV and neither does it carry proper images of the vehicle. We can see an official sketch of the front quarters of the Creta while another sketch of the interiors has also been included. The Creta is very nicely designed and looks like a smaller sibling of the Santa Fe. The interiors also carry an attractive design which feels very European.
Powering the Hyundai Creta will the same petrol and diesel engines that also power the Verna. Talking about dimensions, the Hyundai Creta measures 4270 mm in length, 1780 mm in width and 1630 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2590 mm. The manufacturer is aiming to sell around 5000 units of the SUV every month and wants to grab at least 10% market share. Out of the total sales of the Creta, Hyundai feels that automatic variants will make up for 10% of the sales. Now, all we can do is wait till 21st July and see how Hyundai prices its compact SUV.
