With the addition of SX Executive trim for 2021, the Hyundai Creta will be offered in a total of 6 variants
Hyundai plans to increase the number of variants that the 2021 Creta is offered in by introducing a new ‘SX Executive’ trim.
The compact crossover is in strong demand and was the best-selling car in the country in the month of May. But, Hyundai seems to not want to rest on its laurels and is looking to further boost the car’s appeal and, thereby, sales.
To sit between the S and SX trims, the manual-only SX Executive variant will be available only with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. While there is no word yet about it being added to the 1.4-litre turbo petrol lineup as well.
In total, the addition of the SX Executive variant would result in the number 2021 Hyundai Creta variants to increase up to 6.
The new variant is set to be priced at Rs. 13.15 lakhs (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi) for the model with the 1.5-litre petrol motor, and at Rs. 14.15 lakhs when equipped with the 1.5-litre diesel engine.
Thus, its introduction would result in the reduction of the price difference between the S and the SX trims (which stands at Rs. 1.77 lakhs) by a huge amount.
In terms of features, it is said the SX Executive trim will not have a factory-fitted infotainment system or Hyundai’s BlueLink features. The Arkamys sound system will also not be offered, which seems rather strange.
