Hyundai finally launches a petrol automatic variant of the Creta which is priced at Rs. 12.87 lakhs. The Hyundai Creta Petrol AT is only offered in SX+ trim.
Hyundai had hit the Indian market with a powerful compact SUV Creta last year. Not only did it turn heads, the Creta also increased Hyundai’s sales to a large extent. It was initially launched with the option of a diesel automatic gearbox which was one of its kind in this segment. The customer response was more than expected. Thus Hyundai decided to work on a petrol automatic variant for the Creta.
Hyundai has launched the Creta petrol automatic variant which was unavailable in the Indian market. Only offered in SX+ trim, the petrol automatic variant is cheaper than the diesel automatic as it is priced at Rs. 12.87 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). It targets customers looking for hassle free drive with limited running requirements.
The Hyundai Creta Petrol Automatic, like its diesel counterpart gets a 6-speed torque converter gearbox. The 1.6-litre petrol engine belts out 122 BHP of power and 154 Nm of torque. Hyundai is expecting a marginal rise in their sales with the launch of the Creta petrol automatic.
Hyundai has also made dual front airbags as standard on all variants of the Creta. The standout features of the SX+ variant are projector headlights, AVN, rear parking sensors with camera, LED positioning lights, push button start, smart key, automatic climate control and 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. The Korean vehicle will compete with the upcoming Honda BR-V which too will get a petrol automatic variant.
