Hyundai Creta Electric exterior and interior completely revealed along with features

Hyundai has announced that the new Creta Electric will be launched at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The carmaker has revealed the specs and the features that will be offered with the Creta EV.

The Creta Electric boasts a range of features designed to enhance convenience and connectivity:

  • In-car Payment System: A first in its segment, the system enables users to pay for EV charging directly via the car’s infotainment screen, integrating over 1150 charging points across India.
  • Vehicle-to-Load (V2L): This feature provides power both inside and outside the vehicle, making it ideal for camping or emergencies.
  • Digital Key: Users can lock, unlock and start the car with their smartphone or smartwatch.

Other features include the i-Pedal system, allowing drivers to accelerate, decelerate and stop using only the accelerator and Shift-by-Wire, which replaces traditional gear levers with intuitive controls.

Performance

The Creta Electric will be available in two variants:

  • 51.4 kWh battery pack (long-range) offering a 473 km range and 171 PS of power.
  • 42 kWh battery pack delivering a 390 km range and 135 PS of power.

The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/hr in 7.9 seconds and supports DC fast charging, achieving 10%-80% charge in 58 minutes. For home charging, the 11 kW connected wall box charger enables a full charge in 4 hours.

Safety and Comfort

Hyundai has equipped the Creta Electric with over 75 advanced safety features, including 52 standard across all variants. Highlights include:

  • Level 2 ADAS: Advanced driver-assistance systems with features such as lane keeping assist, forward collision warning and smart cruise control.
  • Standard safety features like six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, electronic stability control and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

The interior offers a premium experience with features like ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control and a Bose audio system with integrated music streaming.

Connectivity

The SUV is equipped with Hyundai’s Bluelink Connected Car Technology, offering over 70 features, including remote charging, auto-scheduled charging and OTA software updates. A pair of 26.03cm (10.25”) dual curvilinear screens enhance the driving experience by providing infotainment and essential EV data.

While Hyundai has packed the Creta Electric with an impressive array of features, its success will likely depend on real-world factors such as charging infrastructure expansion, pricing competitiveness and post-purchase customer experience.
