Hyundai has decided to launch three new variants (Anniversary, S+ Diesel AT and E+) of the Creta urban SUV to commemorate one year of sales in the country. The carmaker has also introduced an all-new Earth Brown colour option across all the Creta variants.
Hyundai knew that they had the key to unlock the secret of untold riches when they first envisioned the Creta urban SUV. A classic example of being at the right place at the right time with over 80,000 copies sold in just one year of sales, calling the car a sales success is an understatement. This is some hot stuff for a car which is unanimously agreed to be overpriced by a cool Rs. 1-2 lakhs. To celebrate its achievement, Hyundai has launched three new variants of the SUV named Executive variant (E+), S+ diesel automatic variant and the 1st Anniversary Edition.
It’s celebration time at Hyundai and they have invited everybody to the party. Hyundai has launched the special 1st Anniversary Edition Creta. The Creta Anniversary Edition adds a factory fitted contrasting black roof, black painted C-pillar and integrated spoiler, dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels from the SX(O) grade, bright silver skid plates and body graphics. As with all Hyundais, the anniversary edition throws a red colour on the interiors with dual-tone black and grey dashboard with red accents around the HVAC vents, fabric upholstery with red inserts and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The Korean company also introduced a new variant that sits above the base Creta E called the Hyundai Creta E+, which has a touch-screen audio system, steering-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls with tweeters, roof rails, power-operated ORVMs with LED turn indicators and rear AC vents. Hyundai has also introduced the diesel automatic version of the mid variant S+. Powered by the same 126 BHP 1.6-litre CRDi VGT engine, the oil burner comes mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The 1st anniversary Edition Hyundai Creta comes with a price tag of Rs. 12.23 lakhs and Rs. 13.76 lakhs, for the petrol and diesel manual variants respectively. The Creta E+ comes at Rs. 9.99 lakh and the diesel S+ automatic variant is priced at Rs. 13.58 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
