2021 Hyundai Creta Facelift
Hyundai Creta facelift will get ADAS features

Hyundai Creta will be the next in line to get ADAS features from the recently unveiled Tucson

The upcoming Hyundai Creta facelift will get ADAS features for the first time as the Korean maker is going to standardise the said feature set across all of its mid to top-end models in the country starting from the Verna till the Ioniq 5 which is slated for launch this year.

Around 10 days ago, Hyundai unveiled the fourth generation Tucson in India with the launch slated for 4th August. The premium SUV, for the first time, gets several ADAS features.

They include Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist ( car, pedestrian, cycle, and junction turning), Blind Spot Collision Warning and Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and Driver Attention Warning.

Further, they include Blind Spot View Monitor, Safe Exit Warning, Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Lane Following Assist, High Beam Assist, Leading Vehicle Departure Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Warning and Avoidance Assist, and Surround View Monitor.

Sources said the fourth generation Tucson should have been launched a couple of years back itself. But, as Hyundai HQ was hell bent on bringing ADAS features to India, the system calibration for Indian conditions began at that time.

The work got slowed down due to the pandemic and chip shortage. But, now, with the Tucson nearing launch with India-specific ADAS features, there’s no stopping the brand from introducing the tech in each and every model it likes.

ADAS is likely to help Hyundai retain Creta’s number 1 position against the onslaught from Maruti Suzuki which is betting big on its all-new hybrid powertrain and selectable all-wheel-drive system on its upcoming Grand Vitara.
