Hyundai Creta 7 seater version spotted once again as the carmaker begins testing the vehicle out in the open. The production version is likely to be called Alcazar and the market launch is expected by Diwali 2021.
Hyundai trademarked the name Alcazar back in mid-2020 and that’s when the anticipation for the bigger Creta began. We have been spotting a lot of test mules of late that reveal some design details of the new product.
While the front profile will remain the same, the 7 seater Creta will get a unique grille design with a lot of chrome to make it look premium over the smaller version.
We can expect new front and rear bumper design as well. Things might be dramatically different beyond the C-pillar. Hyundai will considerably increase the length to accommodate the third row of seats.
We can expect around 170 mm increase in length while the wheelbase is expected to be unchanged. The rear profile will get a larger set of tail lights which is visible in these spy shots sent to us by MotorBeamer Ranadheer Reddy.
Features of the Hyundai Creta 7-seater will be carried over from the regular model. You can expect a few more premium features to differentiate the two.
It is likely to get a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine producing 140 PS and 242 Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 115 PS and 250 Nm of torque. Hyundai will be offering 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. 7-speed DCT for petrol and 6-speed AT for diesel will be there on the list as well.
The bigger Creta will compete against the new Tata Safari and the upcoming Mahindra XUV500.
