Hyundai Alcazar facelift to get first in segment features, launch on 9th September
Hyundai Alcazar facelift is all set to launch on 9th September, bookings have already commenced. The carmaker has revealed a list of features for the 6 and 7-seater SUV ahead of its launch.
Technology and Connectivity
One of the standout tech in the new Hyundai Alcazar is the introduction of a Digital Key with NFC technology. A first for Hyundai in India, this feature allows drivers to lock, unlock and even start the vehicle using their smartphone or smartwatch. The Digital Key can be shared with up to three users or linked to seven devices simultaneously, making it a convenient option for families and shared ownership.
The SUV also boasts an integrated 26.03 cm (10.25″) HD infotainment system coupled with a digital cluster of the same size. Additionally, the Alcazar is equipped with Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control (DATC) and a touch-type AC control panel.
Comfort and Convenience
The vehicle comes with a multi-language User Interface that supports 10 regional and two international languages, providing a personalised touch for a diverse customer base. Furthermore, the SUV introduces first-in-segment features like a magnetic pad on the driver’s console and a second-row wireless charger.
The inclusion of 10 ambient sounds of nature, such as “Lively Forest” and “Rainy Day,” aims to create a serene atmosphere inside the vehicle.
Enhanced Connectivity and User Interaction
The new Hyundai Alcazar offers over 70 Bluelink connected car features, including smartwatch and smartphone integration, making it a highly connected SUV. The vehicle also supports 270+ embedded voice recognition commands, available in both Hindi and Hinglish.
It comes with features such as rain-sensing wipers, an 8-speaker Bose Premium Sound System and a voice-enabled panoramic sunroof.
Tarun Garg, Director and Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India Limited, expressed confidence in the Alcazar’s ability to meet and exceed customer expectations. He emphasised that the new features are designed to provide a blend of intelligence, comfort and performance, making the Alcazar a compelling choice in the premium SUV market.
Under the hood, the Alcazar continues with the same powertrain options as the previous model. Customers can choose between a 160 HP, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a 115 HP, 1.5-litre diesel engine, available with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The SUV also retains its multiple traction control modes, with presets for snow, sand and mud.
Hyundai is set to announce the prices for the Alcazar facelift on 9th September, with deliveries expected to begin by mid-September.
