Hyundai Alcazar facelift prototype spotted, gets new front profile with new details
Hyundai Alcazar is due for a facelift, specially when the younger sibling Creta has got a big updated in the Indian market recently. Hyundai has completely changed the design language of the Creta with this mid-cycle update to match the design DNA of the latest international siblings.
Now, the bigger 6- or 7-seater sibling, Hyundai Alcazar is about to get its much awaited update around September this year, just before the festive season arrives in India. The prototype of the Alcazar facelift was spotted a few weeks back in India. The heavily camouflaged test mule didn’t reveal much from the rear profile.
The latest prototype spotted in South Korea reveals quite a lot of interesting details and changes. The front profile won’t look exactly the same as the Creta facelift but it will get its own identity with a completely new grille design with horizontal chrome slats. The headlamp setup with sharp styling elements will get a similar treatment but the bumper will be all-new along with the new dual-tone alloy wheels.
The rear profile is also expected to come with some new tail lamps and updated tailgate along with a revised bumper.
The interior will get the same Creta inspired dashboard setup with different colour tones and materials to make it look more premium. Hyundai might offer additional features over the Creta for a more appealing package.
Features such as twin 10.25-inch screens, ADAS, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof and ventilated seats are expected to be carried over from the Creta.
It is expected to retain the 160 HP, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and the 115 HP, 1.5-litre diesel engine from the current Creta. The existing manual and automatic gearbox options are also expected to continue.
Once launched, it will compete against the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Mahindra XUV700.
