Hyundai Ai3 will be the entry-level SUV in their lineup, spied in India

Hyundai Ai3 SUV spied testing in India for the first time. The new entry-level SUV from the South Korean carmaker is scheduled to go on sale by Diwali this year.

It will be based on the K1 platform that underpins the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. This compact SUV will be positioned below the Hyundai Venue.

The spy shot of the prototype makes it look like a tallboy hatchback rather than a compact SUV. It looks quite spacious and airy in the first glance. It comes with large windows and a spaced out cabin.

Notice the black panel on the roof, a sunroof for a car belonging to this segment will be a great addition! We can expect Hyundai to offer some interesting features, which is their USP.

It is likely to get styling inspired by the latest Hyundai SUVs on sale. It is expected to be 3.8 metres long and get the same 1.2-litre petrol engine from the Grand i10 Nios along with the option of CNG. To compete with the Tata Punch and Citroen C3.

Hyundai will commence production of the Ai3 by the July-August quarter and start deliveries by September or October 2023.
