Hyosung DSK is all set to launch its GV650 cruiser motorcycle and the updated 2013 version of the GT650R in India on 16th January, 2013. The Hyosung GV650 is likely to be positioned under the Hyosung ST7 cruiser, carrying a price tag of around Rs. 5,00,000/-. The motorcycles will be imported via the CKD route and will be assembled at the Hyosung’s facility in Maharashtra. The Hyosung GV650 cruiser will be priced competitively, becoming one of the affordable V-Twin cruiser motorcycles in India.
The Hyosung GV650 will be featuring a 650cc V-Twin engine that is capable of producing a peak power output of 70 BHP and a peak torque of 60 Nm, coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The hefty 650cc engine employs liquid-cooling with a DOHC 4-valve layout. The equipment list of the motorcycle includes front and rear disc brakes, light weight alloy wheels, a digital display on the instrument cluster, adjustable forks and much more. Hyosung DSK is aiming to price their cruiser line-up aggressively to take on the lower priced Harley-Davidson cruiser motorcycles.
The Korean manufacturer will also launch an updated avatar of the GT650R on 16th January. The 2013 GT650R will offer a much sportier appearance with new two-tone color schemes and paint jobs and mild technical changes on the motorcycle’s equipment list. The GT650R is a performance oriented supersports bike featuring a similar V-Twin engine powering the Suzuki SV650. It boasts a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 650cc engine with an 8-valve DOHC layout that produces 72 BHP of power output and 60 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Expected price for the 2013 GT650R is around Rs. 5.5 lakhs.
