The 2015 EICMA motorcycle show has seen a lot of catchy bikes this year and the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 is just one of them.
Husqvarna has showcased a brand new concept at the ongoing EICMA show and it is called the Vitpilen 701. Vitpilen means white arrow and even though the bike has fairly basic and uncluttered looks, it does look like a very fast object. The company claims that the motorcycle has been created for a very exhilarating riding experience and it has only those essentials which are needed to make the ride better, which is also one of the reasons why the styling is so simple.
The Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 comes with a 690cc single-cylinder engine that also powers the 701 Supermoto and 701 Enduro (it is essentially the engine that powers the KTM Duke 690). The bike comes with a straight-through exhaust with a wide diameter and the engine is finished in black colour. The rear-end of this Husky is a carbon monocoque and the airbox is fitted in that. The concept also gets front and rear lights, machined footpegs and a metallic-finish fuel tank.
The 701 Supermoto and 701 Enduro have been well received in the market ever since they were launched. The Vitpilen 401 is also geared up to hit showrooms soon while the Svartpilen will be launched in 2017. Along with the 401, the company will also launch the Vitpilen 125 and this bike comes with a single-cylinder engine. The Vitpilen 701 has been developed after a lot of study and the company wants to stay true to its motto of providing honest and state-of-the-art motorcycles.
