The Husqvarna Vitpilen is a café-racer styled motorcycle, while the Svartpilen is a scrambler.
Following the introduction of the new KTMs, Husqvarna has forayed in the Indian market with two new models – the Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250. While the Vitpilen is a café-racer styled motorcycle, the latter is a scrambler. Both bikes are based on their KTM counterparts.
Both the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250 share powertrain components with the KTM Duke 250. As a result, they are powered by the same 248.8cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycles have a dry weight of 153 kgs and make 31 PS of peak power and 24 Nm. In terms of design, the bikes are quite similar to their respective 401 counterparts. What is new that the duo gets alloy wheels instead of wire-spoke units while the wheels are shod with MRF tyres.
The Vitpilen 250 and Svartpilen 250 will be introduced in February 2020 for the Indian market and will be sold through existing KTM dealerships. Keeping in mind that the bikes have quite a few premium elements, expect it to add some additional costs as well.
