The Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 has been revealed as the entry-level model of the KTM-owned Swedish brand and should attract quite a few young and beginner riders.
Based on the KTM Duke 125, the Svartpilen 125 features the familiar design seen on its bigger 250cc siblings, which means the narrow bodywork, LED lights, circular digital instrument cluster, are all present.
But even more so, even this smaller Husqvarna gets the bronze engine covers and anodised components, while overarching principle of lightness, at least in the looks department, oozes from the motorcycle.
To be produced in India, like its bigger siblings, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 comes with a 125cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor that makes a maximum of 15 HP and 12 Nm of torque.
The bike weighs 146 kg, has a 9.5-litre fuel tank, a fairly tall 835 mm seat height and get this – wire-spoked wheels with dual-sport rubber.
Despite being a smaller bike, the Svartpilen does come with good componentry taken from the brand’s bigger bikes and this includes WP Apex 43 mm front forks, WP Apex rear monoshock, ByBre brakes and dual-channel ABS.
For now, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 is available in Europe, but, the Swedish brand is expected to sell it in India and price it lower than the KTM Duke 125.
